17 Tornadoes Confirmed in Mississipi Storms

JACKSON, MS (Ben Caxton) — The National Weather Service has confirmed seventeen tornadoes hit Mississippi on Saturday including three strong EF2 tornadoes with winds of 115- to 120 mph near Vicksburg. More than 60 homes and 15 businesses were damaged in 17 counties and a 95-year old man was killed in Monroe County when a tree smashed through his mobile home. Governor Phil Bryant has issued an Emergency Declaration to help those dealing with damage.
