16-year-old Accused Of Murdering Greenwood Middle-schooler

GREENWOOD, MS (Ben Caxton) — A 12-year-old Greenwood Middle School student is dead after being murdered police say by a 16-year-old. Jordan Lloyd was shot in the head late Saturday afternoon outside a house in the 200 block of North Stone Avenue. He was taken to Greenwood Leflore Hospital and then transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he later died. Arrested for the shooting was 16-year-old Jacquez Wilson. Police say Wilson and Lloyd knew each other. Wilson was arraigned Monday and is being held in the Leflore County Jail after a Leflore County Judge denied bond. Additional arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
